They are .78/lb. at my local U-pick farm, can't beat that!! I got 23 lbs. of Empires 2 weeks ago. Almost the whole 23 lbs. fits into the lower crisper in my fridge. :)
I am sorry to say that this is not a fair comparison for the top ad is for an apple that is only available for about one month out of the year at this time and that is a very good price for that apple. The Gala apple is in stores year round. Honeycrisp are a very good eating apple. for drying I would get the gala but I do get my honeycrisp at this time to eat.
